I'll own a Bricklin some day, but $5k is all the money in the world for that one.

Mine was $800 but that one is a cream puff compared to the one I had.

$5K eeek.

This one sold this year on BAT for $7,500, far from cherry, but it's running, driving and complete without a charred, burnt, warped body full of crazing.

And this one at the other end of the scale sold for, wait for it, $101,000 with only 62  miles on the clock from new.

I've always had a soft spot for Bricklin's and the story behind them.  While never intended for any kind of competition, I always thought of them a bit as this continents TVR, Ginetta, Gordon Keeble etc.  Low volume manufacturer using off the shelf components with their own chassis and fiberglass body.  If my $1.35B lotto ticket had played out, there would probably be one in my collection a few years down the line.

Today is the first day I would have ever thought to compare a Gordon Keeble to a Bricklin.
