1974 Pinzgauer (Austrian military vehicle)
It's in very very good "original" condition. The owner passed away back in June and his widow is a friend of my mothers. She's wanting to get $17,000 for it which seems to be a very solid price given my perusal of BAT completed auctions. Started up and drove just today, everything works as it is supposed to. Located just outside Lexington KY.
I'll be the first.......can I drive it back to Chicago? LOL
Wait, you drove? Video?
In reply to Datsun310Guy :
Can you? Sure it drives fine.
How would it be on the highway? Exciting at 50 mph
That would be a great camper conversion. You would not here " But honey we will get stuck!" Driving that into the great outdoors
I need something cool from the year I was born, this would do it. It's just I have no use for it or money to buy it, but I love it!

I drove these and the 6x6 during my 8 months in the austrian Army.
Good fun on a gravel road, and very capable off road. Highway or City Driving just sucks..
Oh man, I love that so much. I want it, but can't justify it... argh.

I know the feeling. I finally talked myself out of a CJ-2a because 11-12 mpg at 45 mph. Doesn't make sense.
So much want and so little space. I love these things.

Kentucky to California in a Pinzgauer would be the most hilarious fly-n-drive ever. Packaged properly by some youtube channel it should pay for the vehicle and trip.
Maybe that "off the paved roads entirely" cross country trail.
