Guy on my local off-road/4x4 forum is moving and selling off some vehicles/project cars. Saw the Bricklin and figured someone on here might be interested. Don't know the guy but his location is less than an hour away from me so I can help enable by offering to store the car if someone wants it.
He has several vehicles in one posting, so scroll down to see the Bricklin.
$500 1975 Bricklin
You'll spend $15k and 5 years to make that into a $10k car

Or $1,500 on top of that for Challenge glory.

And that I kinda want to. What state would this be located in?
In reply to GIRTHQUAKE :
Looks like Burlington, NC.
In reply to Steve_Jones :
As opposed to other project vehicles?
He has some cool stuff there.

I should keep my mouth shut but that bricklin is cool and if the door skin were still with the car i would not be upset if you conspired with Michael to have a bricklin waiting for me in Albemarle
Had one years ago. Drivetrain and suspension are all parts bins from other oems. There are a few parts sources that are dedicated.
If you can get the door sorted, it shouldn't be much harder than anything else domestic from the era to run, so long as you are just going for a ratty runner, not a showcar
They look great, but at 3500 lbs on 1970's suspension they probably aren't meant for challenge glory.
Prove me wrong =)

In reply to Jesse Ransom :
yeah that's ready to be gorgeous
seriously tho don't buy me the bricklin unless you already have because I'm looking at a truck in a few. I repeatedly fail at upholding my signature rule
Those Galaxy pictures are from 2009?

Hahaha, if anyone accidently buys Patrick a $500 Bricklin and he doesn't want it, let me know. I would totally help out and build a Challenge Bricklin.

I'd enable, but I really want to see you get around to that Devin.
Someone else get this
In reply to Apexcarver :
That's in the cards. Clearing bad ideas and other distractions that were good ideas at the time out of the way. I want the devin in progress for next winter
In reply to Apexcarver :
Ratty runner kinda describes my entire life history! Had some cool stuff, but none would win any shows. Why start now?

Well, I won't be buying it for Patrick, but I might call the gentleman for myself, if I can get my friend near there to go get it. I wish you were closer to me, I'd be tickled to death to have your help!
Maybe we can find a garage halfway between us that wants to start a new team, and you can compete against yourself!
Well, I putzd around (bad week for "me" time) and did not call. Was gonna call now, but checked his ad first, and it has sold. I was going to hope for a even lower price with a challenge stipulation, but it's for the best to not have to hope he didn't say yes!
Hope it went to a good home. They are rare enough that a purist would NOT have liked my plans!
