Howdy gang! I've been helping a good friend with this Corolla project at my shop over the past few months and how he is selling it for what I think is a reasonable price. Chassis is high-mileage and is in good enough shape to still be a good driver which has just enough rust and wear that you don't have to feel guilty about really using it. The engine is from an AE86 and is lower mileage, plus fairly healthy...119hp at the wheels a couple years (and very few miles) ago.
Engine bay wiring has just been gone through and repaired/tidied. In the interest of total disclosure, if I bought it, I'd raise it up just a little bit, replace the rest of the suspension bushings we didn't replace, and go back to door-mounted mirrors. I think he has a decent little pile of spares that come with the car as well. Located in Portland, OR. I was there for most of the recent work on this car, so feel free to contact me through the boards with specific questions. I will also include a link to the Craigslist ad if you would rather go to him directly. His name is Jeff and although he isn't on the board, his dad got him into cars with a mix of Minis, Lotuses, Lamborghinis, and Honda Z600's. He has been into rear-drive Corollas for the past fifteen years or so, does autocross, rallycross, hillclimbs, and occasional ice racing and TSD, plus does all of his own wrenching, so he's one of us.
