1983 VW Rabbit GTI hatchback 5 speed manual, 169,760 miles—sold as is for parts or restoration. Selling for my father…car was running several years ago but does not start.

I saw that this morning... I miss mine, driveway and project plate is already overflowing, glad someone else snatched it up.

I've always wanted a GTI, but Curmudgeon hated them so much it tainted me.  He said it was the only car that ever tried to kill him, but he never elaborated on how. 

Buddy of mine had one.  It was a great damn car.

It is the opposite for me; my GTI has always been very forgiving. It was always like it was saying, "You really aren't supposed to do it this way, but I will let you this time."

Damn it!!  I missed this and am literally less than an hour away.  I would have dragged this rig home for that price.
