I really don't consider the Countach to have held the test of time. It maybe the ultimate 80s car but big hair and mullets are the ultimate hair of the 80s and I wouldn't want them to come back. Compared to other Lambos, the Countach is the worst, at everything.

Oh and the 360 is a MUCH better car than the GT. And the GT isn't any less "bland".

Wash your eye's out with soap and water!! You point of view is invalid!!!! The Testarossa is big hair and high wasted jeans, the Countach is simply super model gorgeous.

UMMMMM. Really??? Wings scoops, etc. The original 4000 was weak, especially next to the Miura. Then it became more stupid by the year. Scoops, wings and so on. It became the very definition of big hair! Its incredibly unreliable, impossible to drive other than forwards and a real pain to get in and out of (I did it in my 20s, not sure I would look graceful doing in my 40s). (oh and the ergonomics suck!) And noticeably SLOWER than a TR. Austentatious does not equal beauty.

If you have the cash to buy it maybe you have enough to drop in a mercedes V8. It's not the fact that it is a kit car that makes people back away, it's the fact that it's a chev v8.

I don't 100% agree. Before it got all of the flares and flaps and spoilers and air dams added on, it was very good looking. I remember seeing a blue one regularly on PCH in the late 70s.

They started selling them in 1974,so it isn't exactly an 80s car in my book.

That said, I think there are more fun ways to waste 25 grand on a car than to by a Fiero in drag. That, and the LP400 (pre 400S) was a great looking car, but it wasn't a Miura.

Just my opinion, except for the yer they started selling them. I watched the LP400 me fall apart rapidly. carpet hanging in the foot well. The passenger door lower window out of its tracks. There was naughide or something glued to the slats in the engine cover vents, it was all peeling. According to the salesman at Newport Imports, It was bought by a Saudi Prince.

Exactly. Function has nothing to do with it.
