Link doesn't work for me?  I grew up in San Diego and have a good group of VDub friends there

1987 Scirocco 16v. I've had it for 15 years, time to thin the herd.
Clean title in hand. Passes smog easy

Slicktop NO SUNROOF
Manual windows work excellent!

New 2.0 16v engine, built by me
-only approx. 4000 miles on it
-ported and polished
-balanced to .1 gram
-.020 over Mahle pistons
-ARP bolts

new rebuilt AGB transmission by Kotters VW (~4000 miles on it)

lightened and balanced flywheel
New balanced Sachs clutch
H&R sport springs and Bilstein Sport shocks
Full poly susension bushings
Eurosport stress bar
Almost every part on the car is new or been replaced
Euro bumpers (rare!!!)
Perfect 16x7 Enkei RPF1s new Yokohamas
Manual steering conversion with new rack
New catalytic converter
Totally rebuilt shifter bushings
Euro Hella H4 headlight conversion
3 gauge panel replaces ashtray
-Oil Pressure
-Oil Temp
-Voltage
Extra gauge:
-Air/fuel ratio
Custom heavy-duty rear bumper tow hitch
Lots more I'm forgetting
Tons of spare parts. So. Many. Parts. ugh

BAD:
There is some surface rust on the body. The underside is perfect and rust free, but someone did a bad repaint 20 years ago and some rust spots are coming through. Totally fixable, but annoying.
Interior has normal wear, front bolster leather is worn through and dash is cracked
The rear hatch has the worst rust but I have a spare perfect condition red hatch to replace that with.
No A/C, but everything under the dash is still there and I have the condenser and stuff

That's a clean looking car.  I own a '88 16V but mine is/was a race car set up for IT.  I'll be posting it for sale soon but either as a project or for parts.

It's nowhere near as nice.

Good luck with the sale.

That is an awesome car.  Sadly I live where it is far too easy to get a rock chip in glass. Not as easy as Flagstaff was (cinder on roads in winter), but I have had two chip repairs in the last year.

Almost bought a black 16v in 1997 ... passed for an '87 GTI 16v. Should have gotten the rocco.

Cool car!
