SOLD.

OK, I have a 1993 (need to confirm year, but they were only brought to the US from 91-93) Suzuki Bandit 400.  Awesome, fun bike for shorter/smaller folks.  I think is has around 25k miles (need to check).  Clear title in my name, not running and has been sitting a few years.

This has a capacitive discharge ignition which stopped working so it got parked.  At the time, nobody was repairing or rebuilding the ignition boxes and I haven't checked to see if that has changed.  It has a Yoshimura exhaust that sounds pretty good (if it runs).  I have some spare parts including a set of marginally adjustable stock forks (mine is the one year of no adjustments) and a GSX-R 750 or 1000 (I have forgotten which) front end (forks, brakes, master cylinder, and wheel with old as dirt tire) that can be swapped with a steering stem change.  I think I may also have the needed steering stem.\, a spare seat, plus some other parts IIRC.  Life changes have gotten me completely out of riding, I'm getting ready to move soon, and don't want to move this.

Located about 15 miles NW of Columbia, SC off I-26 Exit 101.  Can't get PM's as I signed up with a Yahoo email account.

I really want that! right up my alley,  let me know if it falls though....  :)

Sweet bike. I had a Honda CB-1, that I loved, and was a very similar machine, I'm told. GLWS

Nice...I loved my '91 that I restored and rode for several years. I really think this one of the best-looking bikes, and to think that it pre-dated the Ducati Monster! I got amusing comments all the time as people tried to place/date it. Really fun to wind it out to 14,000rpm once I got the carbs all sorted and playing nicely together. GLWS.

When this posted it had me looking into bike shipping... I was fascinated when they came out, and now find myself wondering if it's small enough one wouldn't be miserable at the kart track... Wrong time/place/and-probably-bike, but I still think they're awfully cool.

Bike is sold and on it's way to it's new home with forum member Flynlow.  He seems like a great dude and was very easy to deal with.  Just like every other forum member I've dealt with, which is why I'd rather sell here even if it means less money.

Thanks, secretariata!  Good to meet you, and thanks for the package deal!

Made it home safe and sound, it was nice to get out of the house and have a mini-adventure, I was going slightly stir-crazy after a few months home alone.  The bikes don't need much, so there won't be a "build" thread, but I might start something in the motorcycle section just to document getting them back on the road and share some pictures and rambling.

Long day on the road and returning the trailer....gonna be an early night.  Planning to clean the bikes up and change the oil tomorrow.
