I don't drive this enough to justify keeping it, so I thought I'd see if anyone in the area is interested. It's a '93 base that was originally red but has been painted Chaste White. The chassis has 130k on it.
Located in the St. Louis area.
Good:
-It was originally a southern car and has zero rust.
-Has never been hit.
-Clean title
-Car starts easy and runs cool.
-Cusco shock tower brace
-Eibach springs
-Driver's door pocket is not broken (a common malady)
-Has stock cat, air pump, and cat-back so will probably pass emissions
In the last 3000 miles it has had:
-Rebuilt engine
-Apexi clutch
-All of the rats nest was re-done with silicone.
-Low-mileage (40k-ish) turbos
-Rebuilt transmission
-Reupholstered seats
-New tires
-Wheels re-finished
-SS downpipe, wrapped.
-4 new OEM shock mounts
-New Tokico 5-ways
-antiSUV sway-bar mount reinforcement (similar to the RB one)
-New cowl vent
-New windshield garnish trim
-New speakers in doors
-New window switch
-Just got brand new OEM key blanks cut at Mazda.
Bad:
-The hatch was painted on a different day than the rest of the car, and something happened with the clear, making it a slight shade off. Hatch needs to be re-painted to make the car look its best.
-AC, PS, and ABS have been deleted (nothing hacked up to prevent re-installation of these items, but I don't have the parts.)
-No airbag (Efini steering wheel)
-Has factory cassette deck that doesn't work (bad internal amp)...Needs a plug'n'play Mazda CD deck
-Sometimes has a noise in the front end due to missing rubber washers on the control arm bushings. I never got around to ordering and putting these in.
-Will probably need new spherical bearings in the rear, and diff mount bushings soonish.
-Double throttle has been deleted, so with the stock ECU you MUST let the car warm up before getting into boost.
-Brakes need to be bled.
I'm sure there are a few things both good and bad I've forgotten. I'm firm on the price because this car could be very nice without much work. I would be open to trades for certain cars + plus cash as well.
