Never seen one this cheap but it appears sketchy as hell lol.

1995 Dodge viper RT/10 barnfind with very very low original miles. needs light tlc, including a paint job. Been sitting for a few years. Soft top not included. I'll show the car tell noon saturday 10/29/16 . The viper will be sold to highest offer at 6pm Saturday 10/29/16

The low price gives the new buyer a lot of opportunity to do some upgrades. Taking offers above 11900.00 1 of 1500 built and getting hard to find. 0-60 in 4.5 1/4 mile in 12 seconds from the factory . (424)234-0048

Damaged hood .... that's about all you need to know about the cheap price. Add another $5k to $10k just for the part cost on a hood on a Gen-I Viper.

That's assuming nothing else significant.

Ad is down, presumably sold.
Predictably, wrong side of the country to boot.

Wow that was cheap. I don't understand the issue with the hoods. It's just fiberglass, so seems like it would be easy enough to repair. I can understand if you're turning it in on insurance and want new parts, otherwise just repair it.

I think those hoods are about $13K

And another 2K to have it delivered across the country sometimes without damage.

They are like Elise's, a mild hit can be fixed, anything with mount damage is trash.

IIRC they're not the same "simple" fiberglass that other parts are, they're more complicated. Either way, OEM hood prices (the last time I checked, which admittedly was many years ago) are something like $18-$20k for the part alone. Aftermarket ones are much cheaper. However, that's why you will see a TON of Vipers on the road with salvage titles. A very minor front end impact will total the car. OEM hood, bumper, headlights alone will pretty much do it. I've totaled a few (at work, not driving) myself.
