I'm selling a 1998 C5 Corvette Coupe with an automatic, 188k miles. It's red with a black interior. It runs and drives very well, everything works. The wheels are from a newer C5 Vette, but the tires will need to be replaced pretty soon. The interior is mostly in good shape aside from one tear on the driver's seat. It's a southern car its whole life so there's not a single speck of rust on the undercarriage, it's all clean.

The only two modifications are a muffler delete (I wanted it loud) and a 3.42 differential ratio, which is an upgrade from the standard automatic ratio. You really feel the increased gearing when accelerating, but the car still gets decent gas mileage due to its relatively light weight. I also have the stock mufflers if loud isn't your style.

It does have a rebuilt title, which was from a minor side-swipe. It has mostly been repaired, though one side of the car will need paint (right now it has a wrap on that side which matches okay, but not perfectly). I have pictures of the car before it was repaired, it really wasn't anything serious. The alignment is spot-on and there was no frame damage. Just figured I'd share that info before I'm asked about it a million times.

For $5000 OBO, you're getting a pretty fast car with an LS1 V8 and a limited-slip diff. It's a blast to drive and would make for an excellent race car. The LS1 engine has an enormous aftermarket, so the sky's the limit in terms of power.

If you're looking for a perfect Corvette, this isn't it. But if you're looking for some cheap speed, get in touch. Text me at 917-251-7046. No calls please, as I can't really talk on the phone most of the time. No trades.

Looks like a heck of a deal for $5k! I wish I had the funding.

Often these rebuilt title cars are priced way too high. This one is priced right. Would make a great car for my wife but too far to be practical.

Yeah, I've seen rebuilt C5's selling for close to $10k which is absolutely preposterous. KBB value for these cars is $5k - $8k, so I priced it towards the lower end of that to account for the rebuilt title. The way I see it, it's a decent C5 auto for the price of a C4.

Wow this seems like a fantastic deal!

It's a good thing this is 28 hours away from MI, this would be a fun summer daily driver to rack up miles and not worry about depreciating the value of a garage queen.
