WTF do you think a Hemi Cuda is/was? Nobody sipping chardonnay with a five syllable last name and a house in the Hamptons wants a Hemi Cuda yet they've managed six figures.
Plenty of rednecks have successful businesses and buy E36 M3 like this for way too much money. Not any time soon on an '87 but in 30 - 40 years I bet they're in the high five figures.
I've always wanted an 80s Monte ss, I know my dad was buying a regular 82 Monte Carlo when my mom went into labor with me so I always thought that was kind of cool. And it was the first car I ever drove. When I was like 4 I was playing in it and put into gear or whatever and took I for a ride backwards down our driveway on a hill and put it into a ditch lol.
I've always loved G-Bodies too. I had a haggard '78 Regal years ago that had an anemic 3.8 but that didn't stop me from enjoying it...it merely slowed me down...a lot.
I was ALWAYS working on the damn thing since I was too broke to actually buy new parts and fix it properly.
I scored some upper A-arm shims for free from some roundy-rounders that were local to me at the time and used them to max out the positive caster. That thing was a hoot on curvy back roads but boy did it suck in the snow! It probably would have helped if the tires had been less than 10 years old and had some tread. They were Willpops, not Maypops.
