SOLD in record time! Thanks for Looking.
2003 Subaru Impreza WRX in WR Blue - Mine, and definitely affiliated
295k on chassis, 100k on motor, which was rebuilt on a EJ257 short block in 2012
5 speed manual transmission
The Good:
- Powertrain is in very good shape, thanks to regular maintenance and careful drivers
- Interior has held up well considering age of the car
- Has been a turnkey reliable daily driver. Have been using it as a backup car to commute to work, approx 5 miles each way
The Bad:
- Rust. The rear driver's side rocker and rear quarter panel have a good deal of rust. Certainly repairable but it's really ugly looking
- Passenger side rear strut clunks over big bumps
- Paint has seen better days in a few spots
The Weird:
- Has a 2.5RS badge on the grille and an Impreza Hybrid badge on the trunk
- Badges fool nobody because it sounds like a thunderstorm is rolling up the street
I am the third owner. Original owner was an older gentleman who drove the car very gently. Second owner was a mechanically inclined friend who relied on it as his daily driver since 2007. Second owner did many of the modifications and repairs himself, except for the engine and fuel system work, which was outsourced to Subaru specialist shops.
Bought it with the intentions of repairing the rust and building a fun street car, but other priorities are forcing sale.
