2009 Mercedes E350, Silver, 117,658 miles, RWD, 268hp 3.5L V6, 7-speed auto, original owner, clear & free title.
$8,000 OBO. Located in Charlottesville, VA
The car belongs to my in-laws, as the family auto enthusiast I’ve been assigned to selling it. Overall, it’s in very good condition, they’ve owned it since new, always garaged at home and under covered parking at their office.
I don’t know much about these cars but I’ve put a few miles on it to get a sense of it. It drives well, engine is strong, shifts well as expected, some slight vibration on the highway which might be a tire needing balanced or a symptom of sitting more than driving lately. No pulling/vibration under braking, suspension feels good although it might be time for some bushings. Everything appears to work with the exception of the rear roll-up sun screen, AC blows cold. Feels typically German solid and I get the sense it loves to eat miles.
Continental tires have good tread, date codes are ’13, ’14, ’18, and ’19. No apparent dry rot, although one looks like it’s been curbed a bit. AMG rims also have some light to moderate curbing.
The good:
- Seriously clean inside & out. No rust or even any notable corrosion or oxidation.
- Fully loaded inc. heated leather seats, moonroof, nav, AMG wheels & appearance pack, sport package, etc.
- Dealer maintained since new, there’s a decent stack of hard copy and carfax records. I haven’t looked through in detail other than enough to get a sense it’s been well maintained.
- no apparent leaks (water in photos was from a fresh wash)
The Bad:
- Two accidents on the carfax, one big one back in 2011 (driver’s side hit) that deployed the airbags, professionally repaired. The more recent one (march of this year) was very minor and either repaired or it may be the scuff on the rear bumper.
- Tear in bottom cushion of driver’s side seat (shown in pictures)
- Some scratches/chips/general wear & tear on the paint, should all be shown in pictures
Looking around, asking prices for similar miles appear to be in the low teens. I’m only posting here for now as I’d rather not deal w/ the flotsam that is FB marketplace. Pricing it at $9k in hopes for a quick sale, but welcome feedback on pricing.
