2009 Volvo C30 R design NMNA

So it has just 44k miles but the engine has an aftermarket tune but the engine may need to be rebuilt/replaced...in just 44k miles???  

Also says that it has a "restored title".  Is that a kind way of saying once in a severe accident?
 

$5k is too much (in my opinion, but i'm cheap.)  I do think these are neat cars.  This one has probably lead a less than ideal life.  

Seller means "rebuilt title."  It was hit hard, salvaged, then rebuilt. Hence the...interesting front end

This is how "not" to sell a car.  $5k seems ballpark for a decent C30...and probably OK for an R-design w/a rebuilt title.  The whole "may need a new engine" part is the head-scratcher.  If it needs an engine it falls into the All Volvos are worth $500 category.
