Hnnnnng. I had one of those for three years and I still miss it. I see the twin stick that indicates it has a low range in the transmission, too. (Non low range transmissions had a shifter button to go from FWD to 4WD)
You only THINK that the EJ engines thrummed and warbled and sounded weird. Those EA82 engines were on another level.
Also, they were HUGE inside thanks to the spare tire being under the hood. I was able to fit a 42" Mitsubishi projection TV in the thing with the tailgate closed. (Remember projection TVs? My roommate wanted the huge Fresnel lens for whatever reason)
