94 E36 318i (mine)

Ladies & Gentlemen, reluctant to post this, but...  And you're gonna get a story, but it's cathartic for me, so there ya go.

My dad turned me on to this one owner car a few years ago, so I picked it up.  Before I went from Tucson to pick it up in SD, he had it waxed and had a head unit put in it for me.  Just a cheapo one, but, it was my dad that did that for me and it was cool.  I got it home and did the usual GRM stuff to it.  So, wheels/tires, koni/GC kit, various maintenance and repair stuff such as heater core hose replacement, clutch slave, chipped for a whopping 10 extra pony's and 20ft lbs - the only difference is it runs about as fast with the AC on as it did before without the AC on.  Front driver and passenger window regulators, fuel pump, and maybe a couple other things.  Oh, tinted the windows, too.

Has a folder full of receipts, AC blows cold even in the hottest SoAZ summer.  My dad died quite suddenly on June 24th, and as part of mom moving through things, I was given his "LUXOBMB" (short for luxury bomb, or luxo bomb, now it's license plate, and what I called Pa's rides, and he always referred to mine in less than flattering terms - part of father and son banter, you know).

So, Pa's car is now in the garage, and don't drive this one much.  Time to sell it, and as much as I should sell it, hanging on to it is also hanging on to my dad a bit, given the history.  It's a nice car, but it's a 318, not sure what to price it at.  I thought $5K?  Dunno.

Sorry to hear about your Dad.  That would be tough for me to sell given the circumstances.  Looks like a nice clean car, I'm sure it won't take long to find a new home.  GLWS.

I'll add, but, may I humbly suggest hitting the link to FB marketplace under the pic?  Also, I think I put the same ones on Craigslist, here.  I'm in San Diego until tomorrow (brought mom out, she's not ready to do the Tucson to SD drive alone just yet).

Sorry to hear about your pops.  The car looks nice.  It's a 318i, but it looks like it's in nice shape & well sorted.  $5k seems about right.  

I'll bet some plastic restorer might improve the look of those bumpers w/minimal effort.  GLWS.

I like that it's the m42, but wish it was a coupe (or in my budget). Looks well taken care of. And sorry to hear about your father. At least he'll always be riding with you in the LUXOBMB

Thanks.  It's a trip.  I think it's hit me more the last couple weeks than the last 3 months.

Looks like it's sold to a young guy here in AZ, his dad helping him buy a first car.

Kind of a neat thing.
