Cool. This reminds me, I don't think I've seen a neon on the road in like 5 years.
Call me crazy, but that seems kinda perfect for someone looking to go tracking/HPDE w/ light TT'ing and driving it to/from the track?
I bet it'd fit NASA TT6 and maybe SundaeCup?

You don't need a cage to run either of those classes or HPDE/Driving events! Though I might personally be inclined to carefully do a bolt in "half" cage and race seat combo which can be done in a minimally invasive and reversible way (I bet there's an autopower bolt in that'd fit the bill)
That really is a cool car. I always wanted a Neon when I was a kid. I didn't know about "ACR" back then--I just thought they were fun-looking cars with fun commercials.
I'm picturing every one of those 34k miles happening on an autocross course.
