It'd be cool to make the rear wall a door so you could nose the front of your car into the living space to get some extra length.

Yeah, only a 10' deck seriously limits the usefulness.

I would shorten the living space for sure.

Interesting idea, and the price is not too bad.

But that's a 1978 model. It's most likely wood framed.  That's a lot of weight sitting on the tongue.
