Sadly, way too late for me, if those are normal prices. Heck, that’s more than they cost new, I imagine!
Had an 87 and an 88 SC, still think I need another one. But now I'm leaning towards a new experience, turbo 93 if I can find one.
In reply to Jerry :
I have had (in order) a 93 NA, 01 Spyder, and now an 88 S/C. The 93 drives much more like a GT than the first or third gens and while it was a nice car, not the MR2 experience that I craved from driving my buddy's 88 NA in high school.

Complete opposite of you. Hated MK1 and hated even more the trash mkIII I owned.
loved my 93 NA.
Love my 94Tand 95Teven more - owned both since new. Best Toyota I ever owned of the 37 Toyotas .
sw20 for life and 3sgte for the orgasm!
Given the price of the 94-95 cars, I will sell one in the near future and finally get me a 04 Rio Pearl NSX. The only Honda I haven't owned - and I really want to before leaving this earth

Yeah, I'm likely in the minority based on prices of sw20. I just feel like the sw20 was one size up from the other two and that just didn't appeal to me. My 93 was actually the nicest of the three Mr2s I have owned.
AW11 luvr here. It's good to see these finally getting some financial interest, because without that what little parts are available will dry up faster. Of course, it's easy for me to say that since I already own one. Mine may be nicer than most, but I doubt it'll ever fetch the asking prices of those above due to the mileage. Most you see for sale are totally fubar'd though, so there's that. I keep telling myself that I need to let go of it at some point and own an Elise in my lifetime.
