So I'm working on cleaning out my office to make more room to work indoors, and have come across a box of my dads old toys from when he was a kid. These are from the 50's and 60's. I don't have a price yet, as I'm not even sure I want to sell them, but I thought I would check with GRM before fighting with ebay. These are all in surprisingly good shape, no rust, all moving parts work, barely even a patina on the metal. I don't know what shipping would cost, but I'd be willing to work if someone wanted anything.

Yes, that is a Pink Jeep with a camper bed from Tonka.

If you're interested, think I'm making a mistake, or notice a unicorn, please feel free to let me know.

Do you have a U-Haul trailer?

In reply to Woody:

No, just what is sitting there. The Ser-vi-car I had overlooked at first, thought it was an accessory for the fire truck.

I can derail my own thread: I saw you did the skid plate for your miata, and I've been studying your build thread. I'm going to use the support bars like you did that are tapped, do you have any other advice to make drilling easier or have you had any problems with inspections since drilling the holes?

Drilling was easy. For the front two holes, I couldn't use nuts inside the subframe (no way to get a wrench in there). I used a short piece of 3/16" x 1" flat stock, drilled and tapped two holes in it and slipped it into the frame. I remember that I had to round off the corners so that I could get it in there.

I sold the car but I still have the skid plate. I can make a tracing of it and mail it to you if you need it.

I don't know what they're worth to be honest. I see ranges from 10 bucks to over 100 for each one, so I'm not really sure where to price. I also haven't fit them to boxes, so not sure on shipping either.

And thanks Woody. I have the skid plate, but the suggested holes were in totally crap locations. I've got some 1"x1/4" steel left from my light bar that should do the job.

I do nylint, not enough space to collect them all (plus my kids love playing with them so no go on minty stuff!).

In reply to revrico:

Make the rear crossbar first and bolt the back edge of the skid plate flush with the back edge of the bar. It's easy to figure out where you can drill the holes. I don't think that I used all the holes in the skid plate.

Bonus: Miata oil changes will be even more of a PITA now!

I'm working on macguyvering something like this it's an oil evacuator. I've seen instructibles for using my air compressor and a 5 gallon bucket to do the same thing. I have access to a port a band though, I'm THINKING of cutting a notch out after I mount it, so I can get to the drain plug, still weighing the pros and cons

I have the Mityvac and it is the bee's knees. They make a hand pump version, too. I got mine through Tooltopia on special and I think I paid around $75 for it.

I had an Ertyl Sears semi truck as a kid. I'd love to find one. Neat stuff you have there.

You MUST keep them. You will regret selling them!

That's kind of my thought. I don't desperately need money, although I'm entertaining offers. I just have a feeling it will be like my Atari was, sell it then a few years down the road find out I could have got a grand for everything. Or get on a sentimental kick playing with my kid and miss them. That's why I only listed them here, if I sell them, at least it would be to people who enjoy them
