Oh look, a thread for my see-sawing mindset.
Still on the fence of selling, but I've been kicking around the idea of trying something else as I've had this little nugget for a while.
Posting here to see if any like-minded track enthusiast may be considering a move towards a spec class, and were considering swapping their car for another - only caveat is I'm looking for something similar to this. Fun on track, dollar-friendly, tough, street-legal.
This is my 2008 Honda Fit Sport, also known as the "Fitrari". It's run competitively in GRIDLIFE's "Sundae Cup" for about three seasons (now called ClubSC, and still fits the rulebook perfectly). It is several different shades of red and pink, the most-red being the driver-rear likely from where it had its CarFax minor accident, despite its very clean title and Connecticut emissions green checkmark. Currently, I am expanding it's horizons to run NASA TT6 with a few panels and wheels swapped over, coupled with maybe a tune upload.
Runs a mid-1:05 at Lime Rock Park in GRIDLIFE trim without aero or big tires. Also have times for Watkins in the rain, NJMP Thunder as I fumbled my way around the octopus, Palmer Motorsports CCW as I attempted to gain and not lose speed going up the hill.
It has 200,000 miles, and a ton of really nice parts. 200k may seem fairly intimidating (totally reasonable) but...the L15A1 is effectively a sewing machine. I've put about 35k of those on, mostly on track. It burns no oil whatsoever, makes the power it should (a whopping ~93whp) and shows no signs of wear. Save for opening it up, pretty much everything has been replaced.
ClubSC spec - I have stock fenders, a hondata flashpro, and 16x7 Konig wheels with the class-mandated 205 RT660s.

TT6 spec - I made custom mounts for my 9LR wing, butchered the front fenders so they now bury a 15x9, and have said flashpro to try and get a massive 100whp out of this. Front aero to come soon, as I design chassis mounts.

I don't know what I'd ask for it. I'm still unsure of selling it - it's like a really ugly dog, my girlfriend and I love it with all of our hearts and talk about hand-painting it frequently as an art car, but it's racecar enough that the vibrations and noises make it tough for her to enjoy as a "weekend car" (imagine calling a fit a weekend car).
The NC Miata and a few other cars have been calling me, so I figured I'd see if the world even is interested in this thing.
Is this something the world even wants? I don't know what I'd ask, I have 5 years of my life in "building" this Chihuahua of a vehicle.
Thanks for reading this far.
