Selling the Mazda 323 I just purchased. I can't make the money work for rally so I'm sticking with ice racing and road racing. I bought this car six months ago. It's done a lapping day, that's it. I would be interested in trades for road racers (must have a log book) or street cars with interesting racing potential (historic, etc.). Email for pictures. If I don't get any fairly quick bites on this, I'll start optimizing it for track work.

Here is what you get:

Terratrip, co-driver foot rest and map light. Wired for intercom. Has light pod. Roof vent.

Car has big aluminum skid plate and underside protection for the fuel/brake lines, and gas tank.

Stock, both motor and trans. Open diff. Have a spare trans and axles. KN filter, some mods to intake to keep water and mud out.

I just swapped in a new alternator, the old was giving charging issues. Don't know if it can be fixed, I'll include it in the spares. The previous owner did a E36 M3load of work to it, I have receipts. Other then new belts and fluid top up/replace I think it's good to go.

Hotbits rally suspension with I think just one race since rebuild.

Cage is tied in to front strut towers.

Spares:

1 rear hatch, a bit rough but usable if needed

1 rear bumper

2 side rear windows

6 DMACK gravels, two appear to be unused.

8 Toyota MR-2 triangles. These are supposed to be very tough (they weigh a ton though) The 6 DMACK tires are mounted on these + two oddball tires.

1 odd 14 aluminum wheel

4 14inch snow tires

4 13inch steels with snows (on the car now for towing/moving around, they are in decent shape)

Spare starter (looks new), spare ECU, spare transmission and axles (don't know the condition), spare set of break pads, gear oil, spare set of IKEA mud flaps

Lots of misc parts; fuses; tail lights; hoses; belts; plugs; wires; dist cap; ect.

Spill kit

First aid kit

Triangles

Lug wrenches.

It's a good BG chassis car guys, I recall the specialstage thread just after it was purchased.

I believe the car is in Toronto, ON (or near by).

In case you don't know - Frank and Dan Sprongl operate Four Star Motorsports in Georgetown, ON and are a very reputable Fab and Service Shop. They also just happen to be multi-time Canadian and I believe North American Rally Champions.

You can contact the RallySport Ontario Scruitineers at the following email, if you want to ask an independent person about the car:

I'll second the Sprongls' operation. I really should honestly purchase this car and use my own BG 323 as a spare, or leave one setup for tarmac events and hillclimbs and the other for gravel.

The platform is great, fun, handles well, easy on consumables and can be made to go quite fast. Cheap to get into and parts are readily available for in when needed despite it's age. That combined with it being built and prepped by a top shop all make it a smart purchase for someone.

I have a logbooked awd DSM (Talon tsi, built and prepped by Nui) with a 6 bolt bottom end and small 16G in need of some electrical work that I'd be happy to trade for it. AWD turbo DSMs don't have many classes out there to roadrace in though and are more of a point and shoot car then a momentum car on the track.

Frank and Dan build top-notch cars. Frank held and still holds records at a number of hillclimbs across the North East, including Mt. Washington for some time.

And he set a bunch of them in his Group B Quattro.

Have missed these posts, sorry. Located in Toronto, ON. It's really a nice driving car. I was amazed how well it drove the last time I had it out on the track (on old race rubber). Damn you ON car insurance!!!!!! If you're interested, hurry before I change my mind.

Jeff if you change your mind, then change it back this winter, or next year sometime, I'll likely jump all over it and run it at Black River Stages in future years. Anyone looking for a stage car should be all over this, if you decide to keep it or if the new buyer is interested in some BG information let me know as I have a list of sources for suspension bits and to get more power from the B6 or BP motor if you swap in the 1.8L (It's the easiest swap in the world). Mazdaspeed contingency money is a nice kicker as well.

You'll need to log in to post.
