Doesn't that have one of those turrible ( Charles Barkley voice) GM diesel engines?

Nothing terrible about the 6.2L diesel in those. They'll run forever. Not exactly powerful but with the 4.10 or 4.56 gears and the turbo400 in those they move along fine. What makes these REALLY good is the 24V electrical system. The starter FINALLY has enough juice to start these easily. 

I still have a key for those on my keyring.

I just know the 6.2 was looked at as a mileage motor, not a towing motor.
