Someone forgot it isn't 2021 anymore. The amount of astronomical prices I still see for things still is mind blowing. I'd much rather have that yellow Miata for $14k. Now that's a deal.
I got more details. He bought it already wrecked, repaired the front end crash damage, and in doing so painted it black with metal flake and did some interior stuff like a new aluminum dash panel and switches. He actually asked me what I thought it was worth, so I said it sold very quickly for $5k back then, and he didn't seem offended and was very willing to deal. He's just feeling out the market with that price. I am not at all interested in owning it again, but it's fun to see the story continue.

I dunno, I fully expect the Rice Rod and free Europa to bring bank if they should ever go to market. Someday, people will be like " It's a Machinebau original. Built for 2 grand, but can you believe what he did with it?"

Due to the HUGE lack of information in that posting; I don't think eBay is the best place to sell it. I'd bet my life's savings that it doesn't get anywhere near the $15,000 (it advertised on FB market place) I'm not saying it's not a valuable car, because it is, but unless you KNOW what it is, you'd have no idea from that listing.

Man, that ad is tragically bad. Not nearly enough info. No make/model/year in the title. "No reverse" probably meant No Reserve auction. Riley racing is probably rally racing, which this car is not set up for. Definitely does NOT run a 12.4...best was 12.9 with nitrous, which this no longer has. Oof I feel bad for the guy.
