Looks like I was right.
I got an email from eBay stating that my bid for the car has been canceled. Yep, the seller has ended the listing. 
Ended the auction early because it wasn't bidding high enough?
I love this car, and really hope it finds another good home.

And it's back, with a case of the rod knocks...for another silly price
