So cool.
The picture with the lady sitting in it is misleading... remember that the wheels are 10 inch. I am just trying to wrap my mind around how small she must be.
Granted, I suspect it has more shoulder room than mine, but the overall chassis dimensions shouldnt be too different.
If you send the cage # to SCCA that can issue you a new logbook. It would probably still need a tech inspection if you were going to road race it but as an AutoX toy it would be good fun.
Look at the rulebook and measure the main hoop before purchase if you are entertaining notions of club racing. It may not be legal, the rules changed in the 90's.
I have what is likely one of the narrowest cockpit cars in the class. I am 6'2" and currently about 160lbs.
Formula cars are like a pair of pants, you just gotta try them on and maybe do some alterations.

If robbie car do it with a datsun you can do it with a spitfire
I mean, I like to think what I'm doing is a step or two above zip ties, but I agree.
Andy, I'll paint mine like a zero if you move on this plan.

Even easier is to zip tie the spitfire frame rails to the F500 and run it as is.

LMAO!
Folgers jar where I keep all the Dzeus stuff.
The tightest part on my car is the shoulders, not the hips. I actually put in a few inches of padding to either side of my hips.
The cars are a ton of fun. The CVT is actually very fun for autocross, always having power on tap after the briefest of windup.

Ok, pick it up for me. The rules don't say how much of the production frame rails we need so I'll cut a section off and bring it with me.
edit: re read the rules, we either need the entire frame or all stock body work. Doesn't say it needs to be in one piece so we can section it and put it around the F500 as needed.
In reply to Andy Neuman :
Mount the frame sideways above your head, with some coroplast zip-tied to it as a makeshift wing.
You'll need to log in to post.
