The details before the history.
2008 Audi A4 Avant - 6 speed manual - 2.0t FSI motor - 271k miles - Clean overall - rust bubbling in one front fender - and one rear quarter section - small dent on rear hatch - some new parts, starter, oil cooler, ECS tuning downpipe, AFE power intake. NIB parts APR red coils, spare fuel pump, motor mounts.
So the quick backstory on the car. I was working at Kent Falls Brewery and my co-worker bought this wagon off the original owners. High miles because they had a house in CT and VT.
He was hyped about it and bought a TON of parts for it. But probably only drove it 500 miles before he broke it. He wanted a "stage 2" tune, he bought an ECS Tuning downpipe and AFE intake. It was around the time the EPA was cracking down and some reputable companies were not selling stage 2 anymore. He got a weird tune to flash himself and he bricked the ECU. Sent it somewhere to be repaired and it still didn't work. It say six months then I bought it.
Sorry already a long story. I bought it off of him and bought a used ECU off eBay and immediately it "ran" start and shut off because of engine immobilzer. Ok, really trying to make this part shorter. Through a lot of parts, and not quite fully working I've driven the vehicle a while. And just fully fixed by sending the cluster out to a company getting the VIN and mileage corrected. Before the cluster displayed and error and although all functions worked you couldn't read the odometer. Which made it tough only to sell or say go through a state inspection where mileage is recorded.
Problem is I'm too many cars deep. For reference this 08 Audi A4 Avant 6MT, 04 VW Touareg V8, 11 VW Touareg V6 Sport, 04 VW Touareg V8, 02 Porsche Boxster,96 Honda ACTY 2wd, 95 Honda ACTY Attack 4wd, 09 Audi TT 3.2, and a 22 Honda Grom SP. ALSO a little of we'll say legal trouble due to the TT. So thinning out would make financial sense.

$4000 makes sense to me and falls in line with KBB estimate.
