Long shot, i'm pretty sure that 1) nobody will give me the money for the project as it sits and 2) i'm going to have to just part it out, but here we go.

This is NOT a complete and running car. It was for about 10 minutes before the motor ate a cam. The bottom end is salvageable, but i WOULD flush it before using. There was a small amount of swarf in the oil pan when i took it off. I checked a couple main bearings while i was down there and saw no out of the ordinary wear.

Needed to run and drive
1) New motor. (Or at least new heads)
2) Haltech Platinum Sport 1000 ECU. Everything else is there, wiring harness, ignition, wideband, everything. I cannibalized the ECU itself for my MSM. You ONLY need the bare ECU.
3) Exhaust needs to be welded up. Right now it's open Y-pipe. Exhaust is included.

I'd like $12k, you pick up. Located in Indianapolis. This represents me taking a gigantic loss on the car (over $20k invested, and everything for all intents and purposes is brand new.), but i'd sooner see someone pick up the whole car and finish it than me have to spend the time and hassle to part it out.

Basic details

1993 Escort with a ton of miles on the chassis. Chassis isn't great, has two rust holes and is slightly bent (plenty of adjustment for alignment, though), but good enough for race car. Everything else is brand new, so it should still drive pretty damn well. I DO have a clear title for the car, so if for some reason you think this sounds like a fun street car, that is an option.

Ground Control sleeves with 650lb QA1 springs front, 550lb Eibach springs rear
Cusco front pillowball mounts/camber plates

etc etc etc etc etc etc. No stone was left unturned on this car. All suspension hardware is brand new direct from Mazda. (Over $400 in nuts and bolts) There's over $1000 just in fueling setup on this car. $3300 spent on engine management. Over $1000 spent on powdercoating all the suspension pieces (Hope you like purple). I went out and bought brand new headlights for the damn thing, for pete's sake.

For the asking price, i'll throw in every spare part i have for the car, including a 12:1 compression Wiseco piston set made custom to work with Scat 347 I-Beam rods (Also included), and SS laser cut exhaust flanges. (fun with long tube headers?)

The cams in the rear bank are still good and can be sent to Delta Camshafts to be copied. He charges $50 to take a measurement, and about $100/stick for a regrind, $250 for a weld. The cams are the biggest grinds every available for a KL and should pretty easily support up to 300whp n/a or more, and still make power above 9000rpms.

Why are you not finishing this? I want to see it dominate!

I need to slow down. Work is getting out of hand and isn't likely to slow down any time soon, and SWMBO isn't going to be able to take off for race days anytime in the forseeable future. I wouldn't have built this just for me, and i'd really like to simplify the "herd," if you will. Not necessarily in terms of number, but in terms of time spent and money spent running them. (Read: I don't have it in me right now to keep tires on a top SMF car)

This IS a top level capable SMF car. It weighs 2248lbs currently with no effort made towards weight reduction. Minimum weight for 2014 is 2062lbs for this build. Sink another $3-$4k in it and go podium.

Bummer you won't be finishing it.

Where does the line form for part-out parts?

FWIW, I can attest to this thing sounding pretty evil when running.

Dang man, sucks to take it this far and not finish it. Good luck with the sale.

So, can I drive it back to pittsburgh?

Will you take $900?

Can I make payments on it?

Just getting those out of the way now.

Hate to say it, but the sum of the parts is always > than unfinished project.

If you do part it out, I'd be interested in the IQ3 :)

I'm a sad panda...

I totally understand though, I'm doing some thinning myself. Real life gets the best of us sometimes.

Which one would that be? That life situations and amount of free time change wildly as an adult working right in the thick of corporate big business? Yeah. That sucked.
