Well I posted about this truck a little bit ago and I recently impulse bought an Audi A6 which means I've gone over my 3 car limit (I now have 4). This is the one that makes the least sense to keep so I'm putting it up for sale here to avoid dealing with weird people on FB Marketplace/Craigslist. I'm hoping this goes to a good home (GRMer/Land Rover fan) because I truly think it's a solid truck for whatever you might need it for. I've always wanted one of these so now that I've owned it for a bit, I'm satisfied.

Basic Details:
2008 Land Rover LR3 HSE (White Exterior/Tan Interior)
~203500 Miles
Spiral Audio Radio Kit + Aftermarket Double DIN Head Unit + Backup Camera
Atlantic British Coil Spring Conversion Kit (2" Lift)
Falken Wildpeak A/T Tires
Upgraded Interior Lights (LEDs)
Tow Hitch (not sure if OEM/aftermarket but it comes with one)
Everything works
Lots of recent maintenance (either from me or a local Land Rover Specialist)

So basically, from about 70k-187k it was owned by a friend's aunt who just had it regularly maintained by an independent mechanic. From 187-189k it was owned by my friend who decided to sell it to me after he found a pickup truck he wanted. I bought it during the pandemic I'd be doing camping/adventure stuff cause there was nothing else to do at the time but instead it became a daily driver I just used to drive to work because it turns out I like being in paddocks more than the other stuff. It has seen the Pine Barrens here in NJ a little bit but its not real off roading. The chassis is clean in reference to rust (although might be a little dirty/muddy underneath as we speak) and all of the typical LR3 problems are not a problem (either because I fixed them or they just aren't a problem currently). The truck is a 2008, which is apparently the more desirable year of these trucks. This thing has been really nice and comfortable to drive and mechanically reliable (knock on wood) for years now but it's time to let it go. I have a full list of stuff I've done to the truck/checked if you need. I plan on posting better pictures but can't currently because my driveway was full so I had to park my Land Rover at another person's garage. The truck isn't a creampuff, more of a driver spec truck.

KBB says this should sell for a max of 6500$ with the current specs. AutoTempest for nationwide listings seem to list this thing anywhere from 6000-10000$. I haven't sold anything in a long time so I don't really know what the market is for this truck so post up/send me an offer and we can discuss there, although I'd prefer to negotiate in person and make a real deal there because I'm pretty limited on free time these days.

Could you be more specific? I haven't had any issues during my ownership period and I hear that these V8's were generally good in the reliability sense. I've only heard bad things about the LR4 V8's.

I should have said aj27, the updated aj26. The tensioners and timing chains should be done regularly. The plastic housing for the t-stat should be replaced with an aluminum one. For some reason,  coolant hoses don't seen to last as long as on some other cars. That sort of thing. Oh, water pump too.

My local land rover specialist didn't really make note of any of those things either of the times he checked out my truck. Coolant/heater core was recently done though, but not sure about the other things. I don't think these things make it to 200k+ without these things being looked at but it would be dishonest of me if I said I checked those out. I only knew about the common "google-able" problems for the LR3 (rear brake lines, control arms, air suspension, etc) while I relied on my Land Rover Specialist to fill me in on anything else.

The LR3 is probably their best modern vehicle. The LR4 went to a Ford engine and has way more mechanical issues.

I agree. I specifically looked for a 2008+ LR3 for this reason.
