After careful consideration I have decided to sell or trade my 2020 Challenge car. It is a fun and interesting car but just doesn't quite fit with my future plans so I want someone else to enjoy it.

I'll summarize and do my best to answer questions here but can always be reached directly at: (2 one 5) 2 eight 0 - 0 seven three 0 or tb @ timothybeau dot com

2002 Toyota Celica GT-S; Silver w/ Pink accents & Black interior

Everything works, no warning lights or issues

6 speed manual with Monkeywrench racing short shift kit, solid bushings and trd knob

2ZZ-GE with 135k miles; no sepentine belt tensioner, has shorter belt and modified alternator bracket to adjust tension. Full tuned up with filters/plugs/pcv/etc.

New Harmonic Balancer, Alternator, Belt & Battery

New brake pads, rotors, calipers and fluid

New Yokohama Advan Fleva 205/45r16 300tw tires

Interior is clean but shows some wear: floor mats are worn, one storage bin is missing cover, leather seats are patched with 3M adhesive patches. New TRD leather / CF shift knob with newish(?) shift boot and new matching perforated leather steering wheel wrap help the feel tremendously. Shift action is tight and precise, lightweight manual sport seats are very comfortable.

Exterior is rough but servicable for an enthusiast car. A few small rust spots but nothing really structural or problematic. Pink accents on plastics & wheels got a lot of positive attention but are not show car quality and could be resprayed easily in a day. Missing fuel filler door but good wipers, polished headlights, power moonroof, easily removable lip and I have the underbody plastic somewhere...

Suspension is KYB AGX adjusutable dampers on Megan lowering springs (1.5"?) with an almost entire refresh.

Whiteline adjustable rear sway bar

New sway bar end links front and rear

New Energy Poly bushings for most of front end

New Ball Joints

Adjustable camber bolts up front; home alignment that drives straight and handles great

Zex wet nitrous kit with 55 & 75 shot jets & -1 heat range spark plugs; half full 10lb bottle

Probably a few minor things I am forgetting; spent many hours going over every inch of this car and would call it a solid base for continuation. Turn key challenge car with a ton of areas to lose weight, lots of parts to sell off and good potential for refinement.

Price is $2k but I am open to offers and will consider trades of almost any type

Trade?

Very tempting... I want to get a cart for my daughter but she is still a little too young to get started on that project.

I'll pass, but probably kick myself in a year or two.

Just to clarify I would be adding cash, on top.

Ok, I'm still kinda thinking about it. I need to do my homework on carts since I don't know anything about them and need to find a starter setup that I can actually use in the right venue for her. Lots to learn!

Well crud, looks like the wrong end of PA for me. I see that as a relatively cheap way to get on the track for HPDE with a low enough investment to not worry about track insurance. Looks like a nice car for a very good price. GLWS.

Delivery could be arranged withing a reasonable distance. Pretty much anything is negotiable...

In reply to tb (minimally supportive) :

I appreciate that but 1200+ miles round trip (NE Indiana) seems a little past "reasonable".

Yeah... I thought it over and checked my schedule and I think delivery will be limited to a 4-5 hour radius.

Price is negotiable, like if you want it for track days and don't need the nitrous...

How did the 2ZZ respond to nitrous?

It worked well. I only went up to a 75 shot due to time constraints but that cut about 2 seconds off my 1/4 time. I did switch to colder plugs when I put the 75 jets in.

No traction but it went something like 15.2 @ 96mph without a hiccup. Trap speed tells me it definitely made some power. Zero drama.

Forgot:

Currently has a scroth 4 point dot harness installed on drivers seat along with factory point. Very comfy, very convenient and works well coupled with the deeply bolstered factory high back seat.

Would you be interested in a 1989 Dodge Daytona turbo?  43,000 miles but a bit rough around the edges and automatic.

In reply to KyAllroad (Jeremy) (Forum Supporter) :

I would think about that... auto isn't really what I am looking for but that is a 2.5 turbo 1 common block, right?

Any pics of how rough?
