Why is there a questions section? The answers are obvious from someone that hasn't done anything but read the ad.
also, I absolutely want one of these.
Might be worth it just for the parts, depending on what it goes for. Wouldn't be surprised if the fasterproms guys end up bidding on it.
Those Caprices have aluminum 6.0 LS engines in them with basically LS3 heads and LS3 intake manifolds. A friend of mine has one with an LSA supercharger slapped on top of it.
In reply to GIRTHQUAKE :
I was about to as the same thing. I mean, we could entice them with complementary burnouts.
An Illinios state trooper was going to my church and I asked him about these Caprices.
Terrible cars with great acceleration.

Nope.
They look similar, but that car (HRG) was a front engine, fwd ls4 powered car.
This is front engine rwd.
Totally different car and platform.
Hmmm.. I could use a challenge car that runs and my wife wants a police car to park in front of the house so people slow down.
I don't see what could possibly go wrong.

I gotchu bud. Gainesville is about 45 minutes away. You would need it towed to me though, unless I can drive it home, which I'm down to try.

Nope. At least this on only doubled challenge price, instead of Triple like the first one.

Even at $6k that's a whole lot of daily-friendly muscle car

Yeah, I'll have more than that in my LQ4-swapped S10 by the time it is done, and the Caprice would be a much more pleasant place to be. The only big downside might be parts availability, especially after an accident. I hear, much like GTOs, they get totaled fairly easily. Of course, then you still have really nice engine to drop into something else.

Oh, absolutely! And hard to find anything with only 70K in the clock at that price...’specially one with that much hoed rod flair.
Just not challenge approved, or worthy of parting out. Although folks with larger budgets have parted out more expensive, I wouldn’t use it for that.
