Body is very rough and missing some stuff under the rear of the body. Has the extremely rare and sought after AC console and other interior bits but missing the AC compressor under the hood. Have too many projects and it's too small to sleep in as SWMBO wouldn't let me sleep inside if I drug that home. Besides I already have a running one.

And if memory serves, these are much like Volvo P1800s in that they ( EDIT) DON'T cotton to engine swaps.
Pete
Many a GT has been lost due to not thought out engine swaps. The most common of these that end up junked are attempted V8 or V6 swaps. Uni-body car with a tight engine compartment already. Brake booster and battery are in front of the radiator. Heater core gets in the way also. This even gets in the way of upgrading the original engine to dual sidedraft carbs, why mostly single sidedraft is seen. Some of the more successful swaps either extend the nose or move the driver back. Most swaps that I know of has stuck with Opel engines, basically newer, larger 4-cylinder. I have heard of some modern 4-cylinders being installed, the ecoboost being the most common. Very possible if stick with smaller engine. Now Manta's are much better platform for engine swaps. More room with conventional setup, everything more accessible.
