I will disagree on that point based on if that is a car you would like to have a solid shell means way less metal fab and welding cutting time and expense.

Hmm. I'm really wondering what the explaination is.

I think I'd rather have the LeCar.
I am with you there.
The Renault even beat the GTI to the market in the "hot hatch" division with a Alpine tuned version

The LeCar was probably in the garage when the Porsche simply came for a visit.
The LeCar promptly surrendered and allowed the Porsche to occupy it's garage.

OK, pricey for me. Someone probably thinks it's worth it. People probably think I'm crazy to spend money on some of the stuff I have.
Just checked the price: $10k. BaT sold a clean-looking Le Car for $12k in 2023. So, hmm.
A friend drove one when we were in school. Nostalgia’s a heck of a drug and all that, but not sure if it’s that strong for me. Maybe if this one was silver like hers. :)
Anyone remember the Renault Cup? It started with the R5 but then went to Alliance and Fuegos. R5s were funner to watch!
BTW, I had a silver one with russet stripes. Fun car at the time. Fold the rear seat down, toss in a beagle, a suitcase and we're off to Cape Cod.
