I emailed about this. I am hoping it is "Southern Rust" and not real rust. I do NOT want to buy this, but I can put eyes on it for anybody who might want to do so.
I'm interested in it as I could possibly combine it with my red 74 project truck to make one nice truck. The thing is the price seems high. I bought my 74 13 years ago for that same amount, and it was as you see it today. Of course I've done work to it over the years, but nothing to the body. If you can look at it for me please check the cab for rot. I have a decent bed, but my cab is pretty bad.
I never went to look this weekend, but it didn't get sold. I'll see what happens this coming weekend.
I did go to look at this this weekend. The fame has some surface rust, the bed is fairly solid, but the cab isn't all that great. There is no bottom to speak of on the passenger door, and a 2" hole in the passenger side floor. The interior isn't all that great. The door cards got wet but might be OK when they dry out. The door seals are shot.
It does run, and it has Racing Beat headers installed. I think some of the jets in the carb are gunked up, because we had to pour gas into the bowl on the carb and it would fuel starve if you tried to bring it above idle.
He dropped $1000 on the price while I was talking to him. If the body was straighter, I might buy it and try to squeeze my Turbo II transmission and differential into it.
I have pictures, if you're interested.
