Too cool.
I've met the seller. His wife and my wife were once teachers together (maybe 15 years ago now.) He's an ultra cool cat. I saw years back that he was involved in an early Babe-Rally. His business is Vespas and unique motorcycles/scooters. He also sells some crazy cool import vehicles.
Do you need a Japanese Hearse in Cleveland, OH?
I remember him telling me of his first hand account of doing the 650 mile Lake Erie Loop race on a 125cc Buddy Scooter. Like 11 hours of non stop riding as a probably 6ft 4in guy on a pink scooter.

Geez....all freeways on a scooter. The guy is certifiable.
I remember of him telling of drafting semi trailers on the Highway. He would tuck in behind slow going semis and the drafting was what he needed to to keep up the speed. I seem to also remember him telling of I-75 from Toledo to Detroit being the scariest. As you know, in that stretch 80+ mph is the norm and there he is going less than the speed limit.
I seem to remember the Buddy scooter came in two sizes and he chose the larger because the bigger engine met the minimum of what is allowed on the US Interstate System.
I met a Canadian Miata owner on a Michigan event who had done the Canadian four points Iron Butt run. That's Point Pelee (Ontario), Inuvik (North West Territories), Cape Spear (Newfoundland) and Little Gold Creek (Yukon) on a motorcycle in 17 days. He had also lapped Lake Michigan in under 24 hr.
Does anyone know much about the pint sized Pajeros?
They must have come out around 94-95 as they are starting to show up now along with the well known Jimnys which we got as the Samurai. From what I can tell they are Kei cars with the under 660cc engine limit, but these happen to be four cylinders whereas many Kei cars are three cylinder powered.
In reply to Nitroracer (Forum Supporter) :
4 cylinder and turbos! There's a cheap one by me that had my eye. Somehow the Jimnys just have a tougher stance to me. All things being relative for a kei trucklet.
Oh my... I am in absolute love. Does anyone know if this shares a powerplant with any other Mitsu Keis? Wondering about parts availability vs. say, a Jimny.
They're coming over now in good numbers, now that they're 25 years old. I actually just saw one locally yesterday. A guy on the Montero group who imports them says they generally go for about $6k here in the US in good shape.

Under $5k is a very reasonable price. I've seriously considered trading our Gen 1 Montero for one but the loss in space would be killer for long trips.
They are just a bit too wide for Michigan ATV trails, if they were 50in wide instead of 54in then they would qualify as a ORV trail capable vehicle and be able to traverse the same trails as side by sides!
The real hot ticket for mini Mitsu's would be the Pajero Junior, that is essentially the same truck but with a 1100cc non turbo making 80hp. Even MORE obscure is the Pajero Junior Flying Pug limited edition
