Need a roof. Fleet sale. 90 Integra GS, 02 Boxster S, 94 Century wagon, 06 Grand Marquis GS

I'm interested in the Boxster too. Not sure where I am in line though.

I'm driving my Challenge MINI over 200 miles a day. That's a ROUGH ride. 
 

Hopefully I'll have a new truck before SKJSS is able to make the GM available. So enjoy it. 
 

Take my input as a vote of confidence- I KNOW that GM is a very reliable car. 

Quick update:

Robbie is first in on the Boxster.  He will be planning on coming down over the next few weeks to grab it.  In the meantime, I'm going to double check to make sure that going to the GA DMV to put the title in my name is the only option.  I presume it is.  Having done it plenty of times  I know it only takes a week or so.  Easy peasy.  If it falls through, I will let everyone else know.

Indy-Guy is up for the GM, unless he and SV reX work out something otherwise.  The cylinder head is coming off my son's car tomorrow to confirm no piston damage.  Presuming not, we will get a used head and get the swap done ASAP so that the GM can be ready to go to the new owner.  

If anyone wants the Buick or Acura, let me know.  You wouldn't make a ton of money, but there may be a few bucks to be made with the Buick (or even the Acura).  

When the Acura hits challenge price, I might be a buyer :p. 

FWIW on the subject of the slate roof.  My hospital (VA) had several buildings with slate dating back to the 1930's.  They were ok for a long time but at around the 80 year mark they were all needing significant help.  And with a nearly bottomless well of government funds to restore a historical registry facility....we went with fancy asphalt shingles.  And they look just fine.

Spend a few bucks on aluminum flashing that looks like copper and some 50 year dimensional asphalt and don't have to deal with the delicate slate again.

The Grand Marquis and Boxster are spoken for via fellow GRMers, Indy-Guy and Robbie respectively.  The Acura has a teenager hot to trot for it, but hasn't shown up with money.  The Buick wagon is still available and looking for a new home.  Anyone with interest, let me know.

Can we get a picture of the fender repair, to see how bad it is.

Man... that Acura is hitting my nostalgia hard. I had a similar car in black with tan leather interior.  I miss that car, although I do not miss those damned seatbelt mice...  If I wasn't already buried in projects...

I'm not even sure it was repaired so much as resprayed with a cheap paint.  

I watched a video of craftspeople installing a slate roof, kinda mesmerizing. A special skill for sure. 

That Buick wagon is sweet. Which engine does it have?

3.1L  Related to the 2.8 and 3.4 from pretty much every car GM built in the 80s and 90s.  Because it's a Buick, it doesn't have that very distinctive (and uber cool IMO) growl that the 2.8 had in cars like the Eurosport, etc...  It's very quiet.

The Acura was just sold on Sunday, I still have the Buick.  I'm in the suburbs of Atlanta.  Man, I hate to sell this car, it's so cool.  However, priorities have to stay straight.

That's the spirit, Steve. Jenny is a good E36M3, always kind and cheerful. I admire your commitment to getting her into something she is just crazy about. Super cool. It's nice to hear you give props to your wife. We often complain when our chosen partners put the kibosh on our dreams of resurrecting yet another rusty crapcan. This is refreshing.

So far my estimates to fix this are $4800 and $8200.  Likely totaled, this is why I'm suddenly working to get my X5 project done.  I have no idea how long before the insurance company tells me to hand over the keys.

12 hours from Grand Rapids, there may not be enough value to make the trip.  You see this would involve SHMBO buy in, I'm not sure she would believe that I drive this for a few months and turn a buck or two on it.
