Those factory white steelies look great.
Toyota makes this cab/bed length but not in stick shift. They make the crew cab stick with a short bed. This is the perfect combo for a little truck.
Man, I had the exact same truck, same color, same everything... except the lower fenders were rusted clean off, the bed had holes the size of grapefruits and the entire frame was about to snap in half. This was in 1988-89, which gives you some idea of how quickly they rusted.
I love when you notice retro stuff on cars. I forgot about these.
It was common to buy a little rubbery rectangle to go around the door lock - helps from scratching the paint and it usually had "Nissan" on the bottom of the part. I bet they sold a few million.

I was thinking the same thing....my son would love this thing. 80s crash protection was good enough in the 80s...when most people were driving tin cans. Unfortunately, with the prevalence of giant SUVs and distracted drivers I couldn't buy one of these for my teenager.
If there were a Toyota it'd be worth 2x or 3x as much. Frankly, that looks like a heck of a deal if it's in decent shape underneath.
