Saw this on Daily Turismo - http://www.ebay.com/itm/111867612327 . Driver-condition '01 Z06, black on black, 110k miles, theoretically one-owner, theoretically bone stock, 'being sold for a friend.'
Auction ends in 10 hours. Who knows how high it will go, but that's a solid price for a car that seemingly only needs a little work.
If I was a gambling man and didn't have kids, I might be inclined to roll the dice on this. Good luck!
Damn. I wish I had seen this yesterday.
Wow, the no-reserve auction ended @ $12,803. That has to be one of the cheapest Z06's ever sold. Hopefully it's a legit transaction and someone gets a screaming deal.
/edit Hold the phone. The winning bidder has 0 feedback so the odds of a no-sale just went up. In case anyone is still looking...
It was probably bought by someone(fake account?) bumping up the price for them and then the sale was canceled.
Interesting that it's missing now, you're probably right about doing the old straw bidder routine. Now that I've spent a bit of time on Autotrader & CL, I'm surprised how cheap one can find a higher-mileage Z06. Several of them in the sub-$14k range.
Best bang for the buck track car out there.
