Talked to the seller and the 4 runner has a title, manual trans, and runs but thinks it needs a headgasket. If I had room i'd be on my way now.

If the 4 runner has over 100K miles and never had the cam chain replaced and is a 22R, I would place a bet its in need of a timing chain cover.
The chain gets loose and smacks a hole in the waterpump jacket. Its a very common problem. More trucks get new headgaskets then sold off when it still smokes. I have done a lot of these.
