The Phaeton style rumble seat is definitely rad.

It looks like someone put too much air in it.

Rumble seats are great, but how do you get in without stepping on the beautiful fender and then on the seat bottom where you are about to sit?

That is really clever.

That's the sort of car I'd buy just to show it off at car shows and even a concours.

There is a fold out step in the fender and the seat folds flat to step on

That car was shared on my local Triumph club FB group.

I've seen a 2000 in person.  I'm still trying to understand how a person physically fits between the steering wheel and the seat.

Thinking about it, I think this might be the first 2000 I've seen that was LHD.  All of the ones I've seen in person were RHD.

In reply to Ian F (Forum Supporter) :

That reminds me of a story I heard decades ago. Our school's former librarian, long since retired by the time I was in school, kept taking her car to the mechanic because the horn would just go off randomly. Finally after several visits the mechanic went for a ride with her & realized that due to her short height her breasts would intermittently bounce off the horn buttons.

The 1800 Roadster was pretty slow, the 2000 was better. This one has a TR3/4 engine so has more potential to be fun to drive. These are a really old design, so probably still drives like a car from the 40's but you can't beat them for looking like a million bucks for much less than a Rolls. I have seen these at car shows, but this one might be the best I have ever seen. Really beautiful car.
