"Nebraska, where the East fades away and the West tapers off"
I think it even says that on their license plates.
A bit of a confusing FB post... My WAG is the original guy (Mel, who passed away some years ago) didn't catalog any of the inventory since he knew everything he had. Except then he died and left the whole shebang to his wife/children, who tried to keep things going until it became overwhelming. I'm sure the Hudson collection is worth something, but one would have to spend so much time going through it all to figure out what it all actually is that the time:value ratio ends up being very hard to calculate.
Only slightly off-topic: Kearney, Nebraska seems nice, at least in the summer. We passed through there several years ago. Amid the cornfields and grain silos, we stumbled across an incredible classic car museum, right on US 30, in the back of a huge Cabela's sporting goods store.
One of the original Cabelas actually. I think it was like the 2nd or 3rd location. The first one is in Sidney, NE. If you like to drive fast, there is the Sandhills open road challenge not too far from there. https://sorcrace.com/ Build a hudson on a corvette chassis for it with all of the parts.
I think Kearney is where the Museum built over the interstate is.

Because, you know, the only space available for a new building was over the interstate...
I once drove straight through Nebraska. Stopped for fuel once.
That was 450 miles on my truck I'll never get back.
Oh....only 2 hours from family in both directions. Is it cheap enough? haha Oh and for you autocrossers......Short tow to nationals under 2 hours.
In reply to volvoclearinghouse (Forum Supporter) :
I live about two miles from that very location, in Albion, NE.
I opened this thread thinking I was going to see some old Hudsons, thread took a bit of an odd turn i will admit!

I love Nebraska! Some of my most fun times in life took place in Nebraska. I'm really shocked I've never been arrested there
I had a Hornet, I will not have another.
