I might RACE against celebrities (I beat Caitlyn Jenner in a Vegas exhibition, and I beat David Donohue in a Grand-Am race because I DNFed a lap after him!) but I'm the absolute prototype of the dirtbag club racer --- this is gonna sit right next to my 2.4-liter SCCA Neon and my ex-Rains-Racing World Challenge Accord.
My goal is to get the thing on track for $20k total and then ruin the day of various Ferrari Challenge / 997GT3 typa dudes in NASA races. And I'll try my hand at P2 as well but I know better than to think I can hang with the serious programs there.
Hagerty has some DOUBLE PROBATION TOP SECRET plans for the year to come that might involve giving people a chance to drive various race cars. If that happens I'll drag this up and make sure there is seat time for the GRM faithful.
You know, it's funny, out here in the Mid-Atlantic the NASA guys with the crazy supercars all seem pretty laid back. Please bring the Radical to VIR!

Car just left with Jack! Thanks
Have fun!
I don't know who Jack is but I'm jealous. Enjoy.
Looking forward to watching 10k RPM doughnuts in the cul-de-sac, Jack.
Got to poke around this car before it sold. Jack is going to have himself a good time.

I have little idea of what happened in this thread or who the people involved are, but it sure looks like a fun car and it seems that both the buyer and seller are happy, so that is nice.
I want to hear the story about shoplifting

Which one do you want?
Brought the PR6 home last night.
Now, normally I wouldn't bust someone out publicly about something, but you need to hear the truth about the fellow who sold this to me, and I think other GRM members need to be aware as well. So when I showed up, we went over the car and the trailer, and then he says to me:
"This is an as-is sale..." and in my head I'm like REALLY???? THIS DUDE THINKS HE CAN SELL ME A 16-YEAR-OLD HAYABUSA-ENGINE BRITISH-MADE RACE CAR WITH NO WARRANTY? "...but if the gearbox or something blows up when you put it into first, give me a call."
I just want to point out the RAW INSANITY of EVEN ENTERTAINING THE IDEA that somehow there's a responsibility for the seller of a Radical that hasn't run in four years to help out if the transmission lunches itself. I EXPECT the transmission to lunch itself. That's what these things DO :)
Bottom line --- I'd buy black-market human organs from this seller with no worries. It's really nice to see someone who truly wants a transaction to go well for both parties. I just wish Justin had more cars to sell. I do think he has a few bikes available, so if you're looking for something, it wouldn't hurt to ask.
My goal for the car is to get it started, have some new bushings and whatnot tossed into it and try to get NASA and SCCA logbooks by the end of July. It's obviously not a nationally competitive car for P2 or SU but for 2020 and maybe 2021 I'm really just playing second fiddle to my wife's ST5 season.

Buying a quiver of race bikes from him two days before you (and we sat in your new car!) I agree completely.
It was a super weird triangle of weirdness having talked with you while doing a rallycross track walk in Texas a few years ago and then poking around the car you're about to buy in Virginia. We live in a very small world.
Wait, you have more than one shoplifting story about your brother? If its not a humorous subject, skip it, i dont want trouble

thanks
have a nice day

Great car and fun. I use my PR6 for Hill climb, Sprints and odd track days. Nothing touches it.
Few Mods
Supercharged to 350bhp,Paddle shift, Auto upshift just before rev limit, Launch control. etc.
Engine and gearbox upgraded including drive shafts.
You need one to live.
Good luck.
In reply to JohnP :
I thought I had the only supercharged Radical (SR3) in the country!! LOL!!
We should sit down for a coffee sometime.
