RCR SLC type chassis - 1972 C10 Body

Central IL, $12,000.

This is not mine but is in my Garage.

The SLC-10 is for sale. As much as we would all like to see this one done, one of you will have to do it. This is a Need For Speed Movie used RCR SLC type chassis with a 1972 C10 body hastily fit to it. There is much work left here to mount the body, or just use the chassis for something else if not interested in the body.

If you are interested in the Project as is, the Chassis, or I guess the Truck reach out and we can start a conversation with the owner.

Mid engine Aluminum chassis with 1972 C10 truck body.

RCR SLC type chassis.  This is NOT a SLC kit chassis, nor is it a RCR GT40 replica chassis.  This is one of the custom chassis produced and used for the Need For Speed Movie.   It shares architecture with the other RCR replicas but is assumed to be dimensionally unique and not common with any of the RCR kits.

Chassis has CNC machined uprights, A-arms, Fluidyne radiator with fans, Tilton pedals, QA1 Adjustable coil overs, Brembo 4 piston front and rear brakes, with hydraulic 4 piston drift brakes on the rear.   Fuel Cell for chassis is cracked and unusable.  Wheels are unlabeled 3 piece aluminum wheels.   Tires are old and dry cracked.  Bolt pattern and offset unknown.   A Jegs racecar type harness is installed and a Quicksteer power steering unit is and Steering quickener are present.  Condition of chassis components is unverified.  12V Power has not been applied, hydraulic components are untested.

Chassis was acquired without drivetrain (Engine/Transaxle).  Based on published information from the film the cars were setup to use LS3 engines and Porsche 996 type Manual Transmissions.  These are not included with the Chassis.  Halfshafts with Porsche type bolt pattern are included.

No transaxle adapter components, or transaxles are available.

Wheel Base - ~105”

Overall Width at Tires - 76” Front and Rear

1972 C10 body has been cut to roughly fit the Chassis.  No mounts have been made.  New windshield as well as rear glass is included.  Complete doors are included.  Rough condition front fenders, hood, grill and core support are included.   Rough condition outer bedsides (cut) and tailgate are included.  NO bedfloor is included.

Title is available for C10 Body.  Chassis has no identifying numbers or MSO.  Bill of Sale can be written.

Asking for a friend: How much does the chassis weigh, wheels and all? Obviously no drivetrain...

In reply to rdcyclist :

It was around 1200lbs.  A little heavier then I expected but still reasonable.

Also this has sold.  Thanks for the interest.
