My guess is movie car of some sort. Likely stunt or backup car for chase scenes.

The engine looks like it might be a 385 Big Block. In '71 I'm guessing a 429. That ole crew cab would be a real goer with that plant.
For $1100, I'd cut out that abomination of a "cage" and do donuts around the school parking lot.
