Hi, Wagonracer, I love wagons, too, and have a hot-rodded Volvo 740 Turbo 16V wagon.  Somehow seems not clear if your wagon is together and running?  Ready to race?  Project?  And what the hey is an AVCS EJ253?  2.5 l. NA Subie flat four?  125 hp?  I'm just guessing here.  If it was WRX swapped it woulda been a firestorm, no offense.

Include more info on what this is and how it runs?  Was it racing or time trials?

Your pal RandyRacer

In reply to randyracer :

Hi Randy, the car was W2W raced, the EJ 253 is the naturally aspirated SOHC 2.5 with variable valve timing. It dynoed at 147 WHP and 152 WT. Yes, it is a strong runner. I'm going to link lots of photos and full build list in next post. Thanks for your interest, apologies for slow reply

I sure hope someone sees the sense in grabbing this up on the cheap before I bombard the classifieds with a part out. Between the AIM stuff, the LSD and the OZ wheels, there's more than half of my asking price in value $$

Come on, now !!

Thank you for telling your friends about this deal

I'm not sure if your cage will pass ARA tech (I didn't look at the pictures). But if it does post it Facebook on the NA Rally FS page. People will fight over it at that price. Caged Subarus are $10k+.

In reply to WillG80 :

Going off what I can see in the photos, the cage is missing about a dozen tubes for ARA- it could probably be brought up to spec but it'd be a roof off job.

Agree on the cage and being fwd it might appeal to someone just starting in rally, however that will be a niche buyer (new to rally, but can fab a new cage and get safety equipment ARA spec).  But at that price it'll probably sell very quick in the rally community, good luck!

Would the cage pass NASA rally rules? Might be worth figuring out and advertise as such.

In reply to engiekev :

Nope, it's short a bunch of diagonals and gussets for stage rally in general.  If the tubing sizes and wall thickness are appropriate it could be added to.

Thanks for the correct input. Cage was built to NASA club racing CCR 3001-4000 spec 1.75" x .120" Brian at Denver Doughnut Shop built it so that it could be brought up to FIA spec with additions. I do not know how that compares to ARA spec

Basically the same, ARA even cites FIA 253 in their rules iirc.
