Honda SilverWing with luggage - - $1400.

IIRC Silverwings all came with this fairing and the hard bags. I haven't seen that top case/single seat conversion before though.
Pretty cool and durable bikes, possibly a little underpowered to push that big sail around.

The swappable rear seat/trunk was my favorite part of the GL500/GL650. They all had it, along with the bags and fairing. There was a smaller and larger rear box available that interchanged with the pillion seat.
.
I rented a Silverwing back in 1997 when I was in Jamaica. Power seemed sufficient and it handled well for a 15 year old rental bike in a third world country.
All of the CX based bikes were tanks. If you rented the 650, it was quite a but more peppy than the 500.
I learned to ride on that exact bike. There was a kit that allowed for the Rear trunk and the rear seat and that was what I did with it. Mine was the same color as the one in the ad posted. Nothing fancy but it just worked. I had no problems riding 2-400 miles on it.

That's pretty cool - I don't recall seeing the swappable trunk on the Silverwings in Europe.
