1973 wheel horse 16 automatic. Well used but was running excellent until the mice ate some of the new wiring i did in spring when they ate some of the original wiring. I'm sick of replacing wires. Easy but annoying. New battery over winter. Cranked over and chopped up some mice but it's not sparking. Points and coil new last year. Hydraulic lift snow plow and tire chains. Listing because frustrated with wildlife.
$400 pick up in valley city ohio
FB served up this to me yesterday. It's out your way and struck me as something you "need". With a handy Wheelhorse possibly leaving this might be the right replacement for "yard mule" work.

We have the golf cart still, it's handy around the yard but I really need to ditch the slicks and get something with tread.
Wish I was closer. My current Wheel Horse is a little older and I've been looking for a newer model

You have a mower older than a 1973?
Yep, mine is a 1968 Raider 12
I'm guessing we could grm relay it at some point

Any pics?

1968 Commando 8 for the mowing duties at my place, standard sized bearings and belts, cast iron Kohler, should be good for at least a couple more decades.

Free delivery to the $2000 Challenge?
We should make a grassroots wheelhorsesports thread in OT.
Good luck with the sale.
I passed on a '68 Indy 500 WH that was decent for $750. Regerts in life.

My trailer will be empty going to Michael's....
In reply to Patrick (Forum Supporter) :
I am very interested. Does it come with a mowing deck? What type of payment options do you prefer, paypal?
In reply to Chandler:
I can definitely arrange to meet you, I think Michael is near Charlotte. Let me know how I can compensate you for the relay
PayPal is fine, no deck. It's cranking like a boss but not starting. I converted the LF to a bolt on wheel using a harbor freight hub and the original bearings and a little drill work so it would take bolt on cheap trailer wheels. One tie rod is creatively attached but has been that way for 5 years of plowing snow and pushing rocks. I can drill the 2nd HF hub for you and include the new wheel for the LF and give you simple instructions? Basically pop out bearings from original wheel, install in HF hub, slide on and use a 5/8 washer to take up the difference and bolt the assembly on. It's well used but I've done my best to maintain it. As we've both gone to awd/4wd dailies I basically quit plowing the driveway. RR tire leaks overnight.

Im in albemarle if you want to meet here! I think you're nearby ish....
In reply to Patrick (Forum Supporter) :
That tie rod fix sounds like what we ended up doing on ours. Can I trouble you for a pic of the hub mod?
In reply to Dusterbd:
looks like about a two hour drive, definitely do-able, thanks!
Nice! I'll commit to buying it provided the relay option is still available. Let me know if the chevylumina email is the one to send the paypal to.
I can get it to chandler Friday before he heads south I believe.
Sounds like a plan. Looking at my schedule it looks like I could make the trip to Michael's on Tues, Oct 13th to pick it up. If that doesn't fit with your schedule Michael just let me know and we can arrange another day.
In reply to EastCoastMojo (Forum Supporter) :
Sure thing!
I have a kids doctor appointment first thing that morning, but otherwise fair game!
In reply to Dusterbd13-michael (Forum Supporter) :
Sweet! Let's plan for a late morning pickup time. I'll send you a pm with my contact info.
