Mine, totally affiliated. I picked this up over the summer (last trip the Suburban made before killing the transmission). Bought it as a future project, but really won't get to it for a while, so putting it up for sale. $2,000 to a GRM'er, also listed on Ebay right now. It is pretty complete and comes with a good set of seats. These six cylinder engines sound great and give the Spitfire the performance it deserves.

I'm seeing the words "project" and "pretty complete"...
How complete is "pretty complete"? How big a project? Does it run as-is?
How about rust? Is it rust free as-in a northerner's definition of rust free, or is it actually free of rust?
Is there a top?
Im looking for a daily driver "beach cruiser" car. I don't mind some light cosmetics, but I don't want a big project. I don't want to do much mechanical work.

Sorry, missed this. It is pretty complete but definitely a project. Rust wise, it very solid for a 70's Triumph, frame looks really good and the body has solid rockers, fenders, floors and trunk floor. The drivers floor pan in the front looks to have been replaced, rest of the floors are excellent. Car does not run, the story is the guy was driving the Spitfire as late as 97 and then purchased rusty GT6 and put his spitfire body on the chassis but did not finish it. My plan would be to pull the body, restore the chassis and then go through the engine and transmission to make sure it is all good. Engine is complete and turns over. Comes will all the trim, two decent seats, lights, chrome, top frame, hardtop, good glass and spare rear end. So definitely a major project. These 6 cylinder Spitfires are pretty popular and worth working on as they are much desirable than the typical Spitfire as that 2.0 litre engine sounds great and has much more torque. But a project to be sure.
The interest in this project has not been surprising, but what is surprising is that no one has jumped on it. Even lowly Spitfires are $1,000-$3,000 for cars that are parts cars or need work and cheap GT6's are even harder to find now. This car is rough and needs work, but these cars are simple, the engines can be made to perform and they are about as light of a car as you will find at under 2,000 pounds. Hard to find a decent Spitfire project for 2K, and same with a GT6 and here is the opportunity to get the best of both for 2K.
If you need a financial incentive to buy it, unlike a Spitfire, where you can spend $$$ to restore it and probably can't sell it for 1/2 your investment, these six cylinder Spitfires are worth putting time and money into. Check out this example that sold for 24K on BAT as just one of many examples.
Just a little bit of work and you could have this example!
Someone local had one that was running but needed some love for 12K that is now sold, so hope that is some inspiration for someone to take this off my hands. Need the space as I have another car coming next month.
Just for clarity, the car I am selling looks like this now.
I passed the FB post to the local Triumph club. I'm already in over my head in projects (and already have a Spitfire and GT6 that need work).
I picked this up this summer, but now have committed to two projects this fall/winter, so this one needs to go soon, as I need the space. It is a good deal for the right person that knows what it is and what it can become.

I really like it, but I'm buried right now. I don't think I can make a trip to MD.
It would be a fun project, did a spit resto 2 years ago. Wish I hadn't sold off all the extra bits, would have made this one a lot cheaper to do.
The timing on this couldn't be much worse, but I want it in the worst way..
Car is sold, guy came to pick it up today, hopefully they make it home safely, not exactly a car trailer!
