The combination of a Ferrari V12 bolted to a G50 is probably 1/2 the overall length of a Fiero.
My wife would be mad if I spent $21k for an engine and transmission for the Renault 8. Luckily the V12 won't fit. Pheww... lol

Perhaps, but I would imagine a Ferrari V12 is a wee bit longer than a Subie H-4, plusi you would need to figure how to stretch the chassis and bodywork.
One advantage of the RCR P4 is I'm near certain if you had this engine/trans combo, RCR would build the chassis to accommodate it. Let's face it, if you're spending $21K on the engine and transmission (plus whatever additional it'd take to make it run), trying to save pennies on the rest of the car would be rather silly.
Ian...would it fit in the back of your P1800 ES? I mean yeah, you would lose the back seat, but it would be like making Unicorn soup.

I got it! Get a roached out Boxster. Stretch it to fit the V12 in the middle. Boom! You got a poor man's 918/CarreraGt but with a V12!

Ohmagahd, I like how you think... Might it work in a Factory Five 818?
I was thinking an FFR GTM or an RCR40 just for the WTF value.

Look at the rear axle center line in relation to the front seats... the bellhousing would be about where your hips are located.
I'm not 100% sure this engine combo would even fit in a P4.
Being realistic, it makes me wonder if that's why the combo is being sold - the seller couldn't find something that both would fit and look half decent.

Have to admit that I never een looked at that. Was thinking if this guy can get something in the back of his audi wagon. then the offered package might fit in the volvo wagon
In reply to NOHOME :
Well... since you're stripping paint. Think Mrs NOHOME would mind another delay?
In reply to Ian F :
I think she is more worried that I will eventually declare it is finished and ready for her to drive! Kinda like "Honey, I finished building you a parachute, wanna go try it out?"
